Defend Your Base From Scary Worm How to Farm Cash and Gems

Upgrade printers before vanity units, or wave 13 and the door tax will bankrupt you.

How to Farm

Farming in Defend Your Base From Scary Worm means printers and farms first, vanity DPS never. Cash is the only reason you can repair a wooden door, restock spear throwers, and eventually afford mortars and a ~16k blue unit. Gems are the after-party currency from a clear. If you mix those two up, you roll an exclusive crate while the door is ticking and call it bad luck.

This is a free Roblox tower-defense match from Evil Worm Simulator. You start a claimed plot with about 450 cash. That seed buys one economy building and a little cheap defense, not a finished base. The farm loop is: place income behind the bunker, upgrade that income, spend overflow on units that shoot, pay the door tax, repeat until the worm dies, then bank gems.

Printers and farms before anything pretty

The shop sells combat and economy on the same screen, which is how new players go broke. A row of spear throwers looks like progress. A printer looks like a box. The printer is the run. Place it behind the wooden door so a chew does not delete your income. If a farm does get clipped, put another one back — full-clear footage does exactly that so money still arrives if the worm gets in.

Upgrade economy before you upgrade vanity. A stronger printer pays for the next mortar. A stronger cosmetic spear does not pay for the next repair. When the shop offers a better printer (the all-levels run gets visibly excited about a pink one), take it. That is the farm. Combat upgrades wait until the cash line is already rising.

Pair this page with getting started for the opening 450 and with best builds for where the printers sit on the plot. The units hub is for what you buy with overflow, not for what you buy instead of a farm.

Wave 13 is a cash check

Early-session footage calls out wave 13 while a player is trying to keep the door at 400 and still have coins. That wave is where dead economies show. If you spent the first twelve waves on spears only, you will stare at a shop you cannot use and a door you cannot repair. If you spent them on a printer plus a couple of spears, wave 13 is uncomfortable but payable.

Treat wave 13 as a scheduled audit:

  • Is at least one printer still ticking behind the bunker?
  • Can you afford a repair without selling your only DPS?
  • Is the next purchase a printer upgrade or a mortar, not a crate?
  • Is the door already near 400, or are you about to spend the last coins on panic spears?

If any answer is ugly, you are not “bad at aiming.” You under-farmed. Stop placing combat. Rebuild income. How to protect the door is the HP side of the same audit.

What cash is for (and what it is not for)

Cash during a match is for:

  1. Printers and farms, including upgrades.
  2. Door repair on every tick.
  3. Cheap spear throwers to cover the lane until mortars exist.
  4. Mortars and their upgrades.
  5. Rare units when the printer is already healthy.
  6. The expensive blue unit (~16k, ~120 damage) when you are actually clearing.

Cash during a match is not for exclusive crates, mid-wave cosmetics, or copying a 67-game map unlock. Gems after a win are for crates. The how to play page separates those sinks on purpose.

Co-op on a 35-player server can farm faster if one person is assigned to printers while another repairs. It can also farm worse if six people buy spears on the same plot and nobody upgrades the box in the back. Call the income job out loud. How to play is the social rules; this page is the ledger.

Gems after the clear, not during the chew

When the Scary Worm’s bar hits zero (stills show that bar in the high hundreds of thousands, often ~748k / 999,999), the match pays gems. Bank them. Full-clear footage waits until the pile is large — over 100 — before touching an exclusive crate. That is farming too, just on a slower clock. Climb a difficulty with the same printers, add mortars, then cash the gem sink when the door no longer exists as a threat.

There are no active promo codes as of September 2026. You cannot type a string to skip printers. Like the experience and join the group for the advertised bonus, then check the codes hub later. Anyone offering Forest / Desert / Freezer / Lava codes is talking about Defend Your Base from 67.

Shop prices can move after the 3 September 2026 patch; the order does not. Economy, repair, DPS. Check updates for number changes, not for a new farm philosophy.

A simple income ladder

Open: 450 cash → one printer or farm behind the door → leftover spears → stand on repair.

Early waves: upgrade the printer whenever it is cheaper than a new vanity unit. Repair the door on tick so you are not paying panic prices later.

Mid: add a second farm if the plot has room, then mortars. If the worm clips a farm, replace the farm. Income outages during a heal race are wipes.

Wave 13 pressure: do not start a new combat line if repair + printer upgrade are both unaffordable. You are in the cash check. Pass it by printing, not by looking busy.

Boss countdown (~25s): freeze the farm plan. Repair. Only buy DPS if the door is already near 400 and a printer is still up.

After the clear: gems. Exclusive crates. Then expand the plot for the next difficulty instead of resetting to 450 and making the spear mistake again. How to beat the worm is that climb.

Farming is boring on purpose. The smiling worm is the spectacle; the printer is the skill. If your door tax and your mortar line are both payable at wave 13, you are farming correctly. If they are not, sell the idea of a pretty spear wall and put a box behind the bunker.

Wave 13 does not care how many turrets you posed on the grass. It cares whether a printer still ticks while you tap repair. Print first, shoot second, crate third — that order is the whole farm guide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Should I buy printers or spear throwers with the opening 450 cash?

Printers or farms first, spears with leftover coins. Getting started walks that first purchase.

Why does wave 13 feel impossible?

It is a cash check. If you skipped economy, you cannot repair and restock. Rebuild printers before you add DPS.

Are gems the same as cash?

No. Cash runs the match (printers, repairs, units). Gems drop after a clear and buy exclusive crates. See how to play.

Where do I place farms so the worm does not eat them?

Behind the wooden door, inside the bunker footprint. If one gets clipped, place another so income continues.

Do promo codes skip the farm?

No public codes are active as of September 2026. Use group like-and-join rewards only, listed on the codes hub.
